Self Confidence

Something a lot of you probably don’t know about me. I used to be a brunette. And I also used to be wildly insecure.

The number one question I get asked on here is how I am so self confident. Let me start by saying that a year ago, I wouldn’t have even joked about the idea of posting the photo on the left on social media. That version of me is sitting in an incredibly awkward position in order to sit up straight so that her rolls don’t show. She’s flashing an uncomfortable smile because this body wasn’t the one she envisioned she’d have at her bachelorette party. But the version of me on the right, that’s the Bailey you know today. The one who has worked endlessly to love herself. She’s smiling because she’s happy to be in the skin she’s in. She’s back to being a redhead because she knows that’s what makes her feel her best. She’s smiling because she’s embracing her squish and her scars and she has nothing to hide.

Self confidence is not a one day journey, it’s an everyday choice. And it took me the better part of a year & being a bride to get me here. These two photos were 6 months apart, from my bachelorette to my honeymoon, and they taught me everything. They taught me that my husband was going to love me no matter what & that meant that I had to love me too.

Loving yourself is not going to happen in one day. And the timing of your journey is going to be different than mine. And I can’t wait to see it happen for you.
